The role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Quality Inspector to oversee the quality of raw materials, and field purchase processes within our organisation in Uganda in the Northern Region. The Field Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional quality standards and ensuring compliance with the internal Control System for Organic Standards. This position involves inspecting raw materials, conducting quality checks, and supervising various aspects of the collection centers and stores in Uganda. If you have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a passion for ensuring product excellence, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials before, and during re-bagging, and loading at collection centres in Uganda to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Conduct inspections at collection centres and stores in Uganda to assess the quality of products and materials and the suitability of the collection centre..

  • Supervise farmer training activities in Uganda to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the internal Control System for Organic Standards in Uganda.

  • Read blueprints and instructions to understand quality expectations for products and supplies.

  • Approve or reject raw materials based on established quality standards and maintain field officers and purchase personnel performance records.

  • Samples and perform thorough quality checks on raw material at collection centres in Uganda.

  • Maintain accurate records of raw material analysis  results, information, and relevant metrics, such as the number of defective products per day in Uganda.

  • Inspect procedures throughout the production cycle to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards in Uganda.

  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure safety and proper maintenance, discarding any equipment that does not meet requirements in Uganda.

  • Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager on inspection findings and recommendations in Uganda.


  • Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a relevant role.

  • Strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach.

  • Know how to ride a motorbike

  • Responsible and trustworthy with a commitment to upholding quality standards.

  • Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • A college/ university diploma  is required; further qualifications will be a plus.
